What do I do if my product has a fault?

Very occasionally a product may develop a manufacturer's fault, and we will do everything we can to resolve this situation to your satisfaction. We will happily meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act if any of our products are faulty in some way. Please contact us immediately.


My socks have a small single thin thread sticking out, is this a fault?

Very occasionally one of the end threads that should sit inside the sock will escape to the outside. In manufacturing, these ends are blown inside the sock, but if one is accidentally missed, gently snip the single thread - this will not cause any runs in the wool. Please contact us if you still feel there is a genuine fault.


My socks have tiny loops down the seam, is this a fault?

As wool is a natural fibre, the thickness of the yarn can have slight variations, when knitted this can result in subtle changes in tension resulting is these tiny loops at the colour change. These loops are not a fault and once washed and worn will not be noticeable. As our socks are pressed as part of the manufacturing process, this can initially extenuate the loops. Please contact us if you still feel there is still a genuine fault.


If I change my mind on the size or design can I exchange my purchase?

We will happily exchange any unworn socks in their original condition (including original packaging). Please contact us before returning your item to let us know what you want to exchange it for and why. Please note shipping incurred with the original delivery is non-refundable, and the cost of shipping both ways to exchange the product is at your expense.


How can I stop my socks from pilling?

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do to avoid pilling completely. Pilling is caused by friction, the rubbing against another fabric or surface. To reduce pilling, we recommend washing inside out in a lingerie bag. Pilling will increase when worn to bed and with crawling age infants. The feedback we have received is to turn socks inside out for bed or have a pair specifically for sleeping.


If ordering from outside NZ will I be charged customs and duty charges?

Lamington has no control over import charges, as customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country. If you are concerned we advise, before ordering, you contact your local customs office for more information on the current charges.

If I get charged by customs will Lamington reimburse my expenses?

We are not responsible for reimbursement of import charges, we advise you contact your local customs office before ordering if you are concerned.


Can I get a refund if I am not happy with my purchase?

We're confident you'll love Lamington™ socks as much as we do. However, if you aren't fully satisfied with your purchase, we're happy to refund you within 60 days of purchase. Please download our returns form and enclose when returning your item.
