The lamington concept was cooked up between two old friends; two friends who wanted to work from home drinking tea and having lots of laughs all the while gazing lovingly at their beautiful babies……. 

Four years on, still great friends and lots of laughs but one owner, no partnership and NO time to gaze lovingly at a serene newborn. The newborn is now a dynamic three year old with a lot of energy and, eek, no day sleeps!

Lamington is owned and operated by Sarah Teensma, a busy Mum of two little girls. Sarah has a background in 'Learning & Development' so design and apparel opened up a whole new world. The idea was simply born out of wanting some funky tees for her own children. She wanted something a little bit different, something stylish enough that adults would want to wear, but definitely no slogans! 

Strong colours, iconic designs, great fabric and totally, unequivocally NZ Made, that was the concept. The words, “please can you make it in an adult size” are always music to her ears, “baby and toddler tees  that adults want to wear”.

But wait there’s more, fed up with baby socks that wouldn’t stay on and socks that were just too short came Sock-ings™; gorgeous knee-high, merino wool socks that won’t fall down. No more cold little toes for our kiwi babes.
